Not too old to learn
by Gigi Estacio
Hi. I'm 43 & I just started taking violin lessons. I've wanted to learn it years ago but the kids & with all the responsibilities of a mother & wife made it all impossible. This time, the kids have grown & have more time for myself so I believe it's the right time. My husband bought the violin for me as a gift so there's no turning back. The challenging part is reading notes because I didn't learn to read notes. I know chords from guitar playing so little by little & with a lot of patience I believe I can learn. I observed that I am more patient now as I used to get distressed easily. My mood is definitely better & I always look forward at the end of the day where I will practice playing my violin after work. It sounds horrible at the moment but I know it will get better. I love it!
Thank you so much for sharing!
